College Football Playoff rankings largely unchanged

The two-time defending champion Georgia Bulldogs remain firmly atop the College Football Playoff rankings, while Ohio State, Michigan State and Florida State remain in the top four. Washington State and Oregon State round out the top six, while Texas State and Alabama are seventh and eighth, respectively.

The biggest move of the week occurred at No. 9, as Missouri moved from No. 17 to No. 9 after beating Florida. Oregon State also moved from No. 11 to No. 10 after beating Utah.

Louisville is No. 11 after beating Miami, and Penn State dropped to No. 12 after losing to Michigan. Mississippi is No. 13 after beating Ole Miss, Oklahoma is No. 14 after beating TecU, and Utah is No. 15 after losing to Oregon.

Washington State and Oregon State are in the mix, but they need to win to have a chance. Texas State and Alabama State still have hope, but they need more help to make the playoff.
